The heart of Kittu's is its teachers — patient, technically rigorous, and unmistakably warm.
Sharon began her training at age six and has taught for more than two decades across Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee. She founded the institute in 2014.
Conservatory-trained in classical ballet and Limón technique, Emily teaches our pre-ballet, intermediate, and adult contemporary tracks.
Arjun trained in Lucknow gharana Kathak and has choreographed wedding sangeets and stage productions across the Midwest for nine years.
Every teacher brings deep, verifiable training — conservatory diplomas, guru-shishya lineages, or both.
We screen carefully for warmth. Skill is teachable; kindness in front of a nervous beginner is not.
Our staff attend workshops and refresher intensives every year, paid for by the institute.
